We are still in a launching fase. Therefore, the locations where a scan can be made are limited. We do travel around as to serve as much as possible different geografical locations, but are stil confined to the South and west of the Netherlands and central Italy (Rome).

Based on the requests, we will expand our geografical presence. Please let us know, through the comment section where you would like expansion.

Yes, of course. Any scan that has been made is kept inside your personal area and you can re-use for new statues.

Second statues based on an existing scan are cheaper as there are no additional scan processing costs.

We can give you access to the raw scandata and to processed scan files for an additional cost. The processed scan files will be in the flat buste format. Other formats will not be made available. The costs of receiving a copy of the scanned files is 50 euro per scan.

These files will be made available through the download section of your account page.

We will look for a solution together. During scannig, we will gather as much 3d data as possible, so we have enough elements to work with.
Small adjustments can be made on the model before sending it to production.

Larger changes, or even a complete new scan, can be discussed on a case by case basis. We will never send in production a statue you are not satisfied with.

We perform a scan in full color, and the raw 3d model coming out of the scan contains color information. However, as we do not use the colors in the statues, we have not optimized our scans for colors. Therefore, the colors in the scan might not be very usefull as they can contain shades or other imperfections.

If you choose to receive a copy of the scanned files, they will contain the color information.

We have made a selection of colors and materials that we have tested and are for which we have confidence in the quality.

Specific requests can be made, during scanning, and we are open to look for a suitable solution.

Furthermore, our product development departement is looking into new and innovative production processes as to diversify the choices. In the ‘ options’ section you can find more information.

We create statues for in-door display. We encourage to have a resin coating of the statue if you want to keep it out-doors. Currently, we do not offer the option for resin coating, as this is not our area of expertise. Please let us know if this is something we should look into, as we might offer this as an option in the future.

The subject of the scan must remain still for about 3 to 5 minutes, It cannot be held in your arms, as the scan needs to capture the subject from all angles.

Therefore, we do not perform scanning of pets.

The statue can be painted in any way you desire. In our experience, using spray paint is the best way to create a uniform paint layer on the statue.

However, handpainting the statue is very well possible. We do not provide such a service directly.

We perform the scan without glasses and small jewelry. In some cases (neckless or small earrings), we can keep the jewelry on during the scan, and they will be shown in the statue.

However, in our experience, these elements do not add to the character of the final statue. It is therefore advisable to take off any jewlery during the scan.

At Nexum, we take great pride and care for the statues we create. All statues shown on the site are made with exactly the same care and attention as we produce it for all of our customers. It is a custom made product and we want you to enjoy it for as long as possible.

To ensure you are satisfied with the model we are making, we will give you access to a digital copy of the statue before producing it. This will ensure that you will be satisfied with our work before we create the final product.
